Mister Ron's Basement #690 Today we begin a NEW Monday Book Serialization with Max Adeler's 1880 novelette, 'The Fortunate Island,' concerning an American professor and his daughter stranded on a mysterious island filled with castles, knights, and descendants of King Arthur's kingdom. Adeler was convinced that Mark Twain's 'A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court,' published eight years after 'The Fortunate Island,' had plagiarized much of his novel. There are certainly some compelling arguments to be made for Adeler's case. In any event, we will be serializing the entire story for you to decide for yourself. It's a lot of fun!
