Mister Ron's Basement #1136

SUNDAY SALAD offers a triple collection of Stanley Huntley pieces -- first, we have an 1880 poem about how the Bismarck, Dakota, Board of Education makes decisions in 'A Grave Question.'

Then we offer what appears to be Huntley's first use of the name Mrs. Spoopendyke in a short tale from 1879 called 'His New Year's Views.' This character doesn't seem to be related to the Spoopendykes we all know and love.

Finally we offer a lengthy account of Mr. and and Mrs. Spoopendyke buying a farm in 'An Amateur Agriculturist' from 1882.

Time: approx seventeen minutes
