Mister Ron’s Basement # 1884
With events in the State of Wisconsin in the news, we are devoting this week's selection of stories to those of George W. Peck. Peck was a native Wisconsinite, who was a Civil War hero, humorist, stand-up comic, newspaper publisher, mayor of Milwaukie, and a popular two-term Governor of the State.
Today’s 1882 Peck piece is, simply put, a truly funny story about a horse. It is called ‘Don't Appreciate Kindness’
Time: approx seven minutes
