From The New York Weekly Magazine of July, 1796, we have discovered a piece by a writer who calls himself Tyranculus, concerning what was then becoming a vanishing custom, and putting the final kibosh on it.

The piece is called 'On the Three Cornered Hat.'

Today's tale is classic Loomis -- one of the great tales that made him so popular with readers of the era! A young American lawyer is bowled over with love at first sight with a woman who passed him by in front of the British Museum and vanished! It is called 'The Lady of the Museum Steps.'
