Mister Ron's Basement #888

Mike Fink was a genuine historical character -- often known as 'The King of the Flatboat Men' -- whose legend became exaggerated over the years into tall tales as wild as those of Paul Bunyan or Pecos Bill. This week, we will feature stories of Mike Fink from four different authors.

Today we see just how exaggerated stories about Mike Fink became as we go for a ride on an angry bull in Thomas Chandler Haliburton's 1852 piece, 'Mike Fink in a Tight Place.'

Time: approx eleven and a half minutes
