Mister Ron's Basement #434 This week we're reading 'Stories That They Are Famous For,' tales from long ago that are still remembered to this day. Sometimes an author can become so associated with a particular yarn, that it can drown out his other work. This is probably the case with O Henry, whose enormous output contained many, many wonderful stories, yet is usually associated with this one. Nevertheless, despite the fact that the story has almost become a cliche, 'The Gift of the Magi' is a great tale, and we present it here. Time: approx fourteen minutes The Mister Ron's Basement Full Catalog can be found at: http://ronevry.com/Mister_Rons_Full_Catalog.html The O Henry Catalog of Stories is at: http://ronevry.com/ohenry.html |
