We are celebrating WOMEN'S HISTORY MONTH with fun stories by 19th Century Women Authors (well, this time around, 20th Century...).

May Isabel Fisk is about as forgotten as a once-popular writer can be, which is a shame, because she was extremely funny. Today's piece first appeared in 1903, and it really is a classic! It's called 'A Woman in a Shoe-shop.'
