Mister Ron's Basement #87 This week Mister Ron's Basement digs out funny stories from H. C. Bunner ('H. C. Who?' you might say...). Bunner was the editor of Puck Magazine and one of the most popular humorists of the late 19th Century. He is largely forgotten today. Bunner's stories are great though -- today's is 'The Cumbersome Horse.' Mister Ron's Basement #82 Beginning a week of hilariously cynical stories by H. H. Munro, better known as 'Saki.' Today's story, from 1911, deals with Art Critics, stormy international relations, and a sleazy low-life caught in the middle of a maelstrom. It's called 'The Background.' There Ought to be a Law Against That... Time: approx eleven and a half minutes The Mister Ron's Basement Full Catalog can be found at: http://ronevry.com/Mister_Rons_Full_Catalog.html |
